Webinar 1 – PET Chemical Recycling

Presented by industry leaders Alpek and Eastman, this session will explore Chemical Recycling, also known as Tertiary, Advanced or Enhanced PET recycling. Chemical recycling offers PET quality superior to mechanical recycling. This process chemically depolymerizes PET bottles; purifying, and repolymerizing the recovered monomers or oligomers, and remove additives and colorants used in the manufacture of the bottles as well as other contaminants found in mechanical recycling. Learn how processes like methanolysis and hydrolysis help overcome the limitations of mechanical recycling, delivering cleaner, higher-quality PET resin for sustainable packaging.
