Donald W. Miller is vice president of plant support services for D.E.L.L PET which is a company that he helped start. Through Donald’s career he has been responsible for Process Labs, Analytical Labs, Design, Tooling Services and Plant Support Services. Donald has a strong background in production. He has been a manager for injection and stretch-blow molding departments for a major Coca-Cola preform and bottle manufacturing company. Donald not only managed these operations but was recognized as an industry expert in blow mold processing technology. He has been responsible for quality and production improvements for Western Containers and has been able to provide these same type servers for many customers that are leaders in PET manufacturing. Donald has worked extensively with others on preform and bottle designs throughout his plastics career.
He has been either responsible for or been part of teams that have started up several new facilities handling everything from selecting the site, to purchasing the equipment, installing and starting up machines and training operators. Donald became recognized industry-wide by major machine vendors as an all-around expert in PET process technology. He has developed and provided process training to individuals for more than 30 years. Donald is a qualified PET professional with experience on Husky, Sidel, Krones Siapi, and many other type of two-stage blow molders as well as auxiliary plant processing equipment. He has worked on projects that range in cost from $3,000 to $23 million. Over his career, he has installed twenty-five blow molding systems and hundreds of support equipment items for injection and stretch blow molding installations.
