Pete Duessel is Ecolab’s newest Area Technical Support Coordinator and returning ISBT member. Pete brings 38+ years of plant floor food and beverage experience to the SEALS team.

In 1986, Pete began his career with A&W Brands starting in the Woburn, Massachusetts Product Quality/R & D Laboratory and later moving to Dallas, Texas in a field quality role working with 60+ A&W bottlers in the Southwest. In 1993, Pete began his 30-year Coca-Cola career with Phoenix Coca-Cola as the plant quality manager. Over the years, that role led to a variety of corporate quality and engineering positions in Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE), Coca-Cola Refreshments (CCR) and Coca-Cola (NAOU). The corporate roles included CCE Corporate Quality System Manager, CCE National Quality Manager, CCR Project Engineer and NAOU Supply Chain Sanitarian. Never straying far from the plant floor, Pete has led local plant operations in quality, production, maintenance and sanitation. Corporately, Pete has led numerous operational excellence and trouble-shooting initiatives to improve production efficiency, product quality and sanitation in more than 90 North America plants. His work experience extends across numerous beverage platforms: carbonated soft drink, fountain syrup, hot fill, extended shelf-life, aseptic, retort etc. 

After a year or so as a consultant, Pete returned to the plant floor as an Ecolab SEAL in May of 2024, a role that leverages both his college background in microbiology and extensive beverage operations experience.
